Why you should consider single sex schools

A single sex school is where male and female students learn in separate schools, building or classes. This is practiced the world over and has been there for many years particularly for secondary schools. Most single sex schools are boarding schools. Most parents prefer single sex schools to coeducational ones for many reasons but mostly out of preference and personal philosophy.

Many of those who prefer an all boys school say that it is because they believe teenage boys learn better with minimum distractions. They can focus better on their education and extracurricular activities when you eliminate the self-consciousness and competition brought about by the presence of girls.

Boys have a different style of learning from girls, and some educators believe that they can immensely benefit from a syllabus designed specifically for them. Nowadays there are many coeducational schools, but single sex schools still perform better overall.
All conventional schools from preparatory, military and even therapeutic schools speak of their teenage boys benefiting from studying in an all boys environment. Many single sex schools ensure that the students have considerable opportunities to interact with students of the opposite sex from other schools. The students also participate in community service programs where they interact with visitors. The students go home to their families once the school breaks for the holidays.
